I build infrastructure for people who still have to live with the consequences.

I’ve spent the last decade-plus helping local systems—newsrooms, food supply chains, workforce boards, and small businesses—get their own tools instead of renting everything from platforms.

I was a founder of nClouds, an AWS Premier cloud and DevOps consultancy, and helped grow it into a serious migration/SRE/FinOps partner before exiting. That experience now fuels my work on:

  • Lantrn.ai – AI assistants for local newsrooms that automate public notices and workflows so reporters can focus on journalism, not data entry.
  • PureChex – product-level traceability and storytelling infrastructure for food systems, so you can point at a single item and actually know where it came from.
  • Tip.cash / Trigo Lightning Network – Bitcoin and Lightning tools for circular local economies, where fees don’t just leak to card networks.
  • Middlestate – co-designing “work & learn” systems with workforce boards, colleges, and community-based orgs, based on lived experience instead of compliance theater.
  • Agentry – protocol-native AI agents defined as signed events on Nostr, not just another SaaS widget you’re renting.

I’m also a founder of aBotSpot, an open-source makerspace, and a founding board member of the Sound N Vision Foundation, supporting live music and arts in California’s Central Valley.

The thread through all of this: give communities infrastructure they can understand, own, and walk away with—tools, not handcuffs.
